AOD Toast
hey all i took my AOD over to one of my friend mechanics, and he said that the inside was all tore up so now i need to find a tranny, where do i find one, i have checked almost all the junkyards except for a few, within a 100 mile radius of here, and no one has one, what would you guys do?? does anyone have one that they could sell me?? Or let me know where to find one?? i really do miss my bronco its been down for a year now and i really liked it over the chevy i have to drive!!!

I can't find the link right now, but there is a place somewhere out West that has pretty good prices on rebuilt transmissions. If I remember right, the one for mine would be less than $700 plus core. Around here, you pay about $1300. for a rebuild of an AOD.

give this link a try, this place has been around for a long time. never used one of there trannies but i have used a few of there short blocks. one of which was a 302 in my dads pick that yeilded a 148,000 mls in its second life. thnx DW
