So there is a NISSAN Platinum?

I saw one Saturday. What's next a Toyota Super Duty?

I drove the new Titan XD (diesel) a couple weeks ago. While it wasn't fast, it got up to 85 MPH quickly. It was quiet and comfortable with a well laid out dash. Ride was good, brakes were competent enough that I should have warned the sales guy that I was getting ready to stomp on them.

While the Titan XD will tow 2000+ lbs more than the current Titan it isn't enough for what I plan to tow. So the XD isn't on my short list.

For what they cost I don't see the reason to buy one over a 3/4ton diesel truck. You'll get more capacity, power, etc with say an F-250 with 6.7l vs the new Nissan.

You won't get any argument from me on that. My '07 Titan has been extraordinarily reliable. If the XD had pushed up into the 13k towing range (conventional) I would be considering it. It all comes down to capability.
