Low Temps Head Gasket Issues?

Had a local shop say rhat my low temps (180-185) while running in 40 degree weather could be a sign of head gasket failure? Is this possible?

Sounds like you need a new thermostat and possibly a new mechanic

The thermostat is what I was bringing it in for and they mentioned that. They also said only Ford Gold coolant with a stock egr.

Do not use them, ever again. New thermostat and you're on your way.
Obviously has no business.

To tell ya the truth,I'm sooooo sick of hearing about headgasket issues. All these so called diesel shops don't know spit about the 6.0. I had a guy over here the other day and was told he had bad headgaskets and it was the heater control valve. Do the diagnostics according to the stickies up top. Ya, these truck do have issues but most of them are caused by dummies who are out to make a buck.......big time. Good 6.0 wrenches are hard to find,do your home and find a good shop. I hate seeing people get ripped off

Low Temps Head Gasket Issues?

This is why i like to trouble shoot myself and tell the shop exactly what to do (if i just can't do it myself) i trust the info i get from FTE more then any dealer or shop. FTE has been proven time and time again.
