Been having a cold shift problem for awhile. No codes on torque pro but I did notice that my boost pressure was going high enough when stomping it that it was reading negative. Happens when you exceed the gauge settings I guess.
When I was running along at about 60 mph it was reading this.
Would high boost pressure affect my shift when cold?
This rings a bell -- not your cold shift problem, but your boost gauge in Torque going negative. It's been a long time since I set mine up, but I recall getting some strange negative numbers and I think there was another ID/gauge I ended up selecting that fixed it.
I see just the one option now under Manage Extra PIDs... for the Ford Specific Boost, so I'd have to hook it to my truck to see if there was anything else the PCM was offering up to Torque.
I'll dig around and see what I can find since my memory is so shot....
That may be why. I selected the Turbo Boost & Vacuum PID. Not the Boost Ford Specific. What would be normal psi for 60 mph and for getting on from a stop sign to 60?
One thing that surprised me was after I had the work done on my truck, and while it was apparently relearning, was a 32 psi boost; then I did a "WHAT??!"
and I started watching it more closely and saw a 30 psi, then the max was 29 and now, no matter how hard I hammer it, I get maybe a 27psi...
I've never run a tune and never will. But seeing the Torque gauge do that negative pressure thang was wild! Try another PID and at least that part will be well...
I hope your trans shifting when cold is something easily fixed -- have you serviced the trans yet??
Been flushed at twice since I've owned it. Got about 128,000 on it. Shifts normal after it gets warmed up. Doesn't appear to be slipping just doesn't want to come at of 1st and second without letting right off the gas so it can shift.
Check your ebp, map, and baro koeo they should all be. About the same.
I'm suspecting a bad ebp. Worth a cleaning on the ebp,ebp tube and map fitting. I have had those issues with a bad ebp.

My psi is under 3 when driving flat and without a load at 66 mph. I will get up to 26 psi max under full throttle.
I've got my alarm set for anything exceeding 65 mph for towing here in CA with max speed limit at 55 mph.
I track each of these parameters on one page to compare. Keep in mind the EBP is rated in psi, not hg's of Mercury but is 36.6 if measured as the others.
is that an app for your phone with real time diog readings?
It's my Dashboss analog looking gauges. I monitor 24 parameters at one time but can only read 12 at a time. I use my IPad with Bluetooth sitting between my seats to watch, flipping back and forth as needed but really watching my digital looking page, also shown above with eot, ect, volts, etc.
I can record activity or as shown here, take a snapshot at any specific time.
I would highly recommend for anyone with an IPad. Gotta watch these 6.0's.
