Hey guys.. I was the one with the problem with the truck not starting.. Took a lot of work but I got it all fixed. Like I said this truck has been sitting for years and has about 300000 miles on it. When I first got the truck running it was burning a lot of oil, like a gallon every 50 miles.. Now it's burning about twice that and when I start it in the morning oil comes out the downpipe. I think it's the turbo.. But what do you guys think it is and what do I do about it?
Ok.. I just put all brand new injector orings today because oil was going back into my fuel and injectors were loosing prime etc.. So how do I approach the turbo seal.. Change it or get a new turbo?
Check spturboost.com great prices and customer service top notch, contact Kevin for any Q.
Alright guys.. So I guess the o rings stopped it from burning oil lol.. Drive it about 150 miles and it didn't burn any oil. But I have a new problem. The truck doesn't want to go over 2400-2600 rpm.. It runs good until then and just acts like it's not getting fuel and the turbo stops winding up.. It gets worse as the gears go up for example when it's in overdrive it really doesn't want to go ever 70. No codes at all. It has a low pressure ebv code and I did what it took and fixed that.. New ipr, new icp, new valve cover gaskets, clean fuel filter, fuel filter clean and stays full of fuel.. I'm at a loss here what should i try or do ...?
