New steering box install question.

New steering box install question.
Well this might sound stupid but... I put a new steering box on my truck from O'Reillys to take up some of the play in my steering and the new/reman box doesn't say if I should add fluid and where. Any ideas?

Hmm you don't say which type of steering box it is? P/S or Manual for one thing.
My Manual fills with 90wt. gear oil and from what I understand the 2wd manuals fill with some sort of heavy grade of like oil & grease mixture form what ND says.
"I use to fill mind with STP as it did not leak off as fast like 90wt did."
unit , I replaced the seals.
But if P/S unit turn the pump slow with a fill P/S Pump work the air out by hand turning it the best you can before starting eng.. Best to have the front wheel off the ground as you turn the steering wheel lock to lock many time to get all the air out use type F fluid same as tranny F fluid.

2wd Manual steering boxes for the F100, F250 & F350 use Ford steering Grease p/n C3AZ-19578A
And what is that stuff. No don't know but was told it like 140wt & grease mixture that came in like a calking tube to fill the 2wd manual steering boxes.
So maybe do what, I did mixing STP & 80/90wt so you can poor it in..
