Couple days ago I got the message of 500 miles left, kinda thought that was odd because it seemed I just put some in. Then in less than 100 miles I get 100 mile warning.. So I got 2 jugs and started to fill it up and I don't think I put 1/2 of the first one in before it overflowed. I called my service manager and told him about it and if he wouldn't mind making sure it is covered under my esp. I'll check back Monday but if it isn't, has anyone changed one out? The def is very crusty/crystaly when it dries so its not in the best invironment. I have about 41k on the clock.

 

I have head of that in some Fords - do a "search" ... you should find it. Dodge suffers with these same symptoms. Good luck -

 

My 2015 did the same thing. I topped it off during an oil change and 2 weeks later got the 500 mile message. Only took 1/2 gallon. Drove to the dealer who plugged in their computer and reset the sensors. From what I have read here, it is best to wait till you get the countdown message before filling, not topping it off whenever. I haven't had the problem return doing it that way.
