Radiator support cage nuts?

Does anyone know where I can find the special rectangular cage nuts/clips that go in the bottom of the radiator support? It takes five of them. They look a little different from your average square cage nut.

Do you think they look something sort of like these? These are also used on the floor of my 4x4 trucks for the plate that covers the transmission area. My 2x4 truck is an automatic so no removeable cover there, but I do believe these are the same clips.

Those look exactly like the clip/nuts that go in the support! Do you have a part # or source for them? And I wonder how those are installed...

No, I don't think that is them.....but I do see the correct part number in the drawing, I believe. I'll let the OP chime in to make sure we are looking at the same thing.

TA455HO, the ones you pictured are definitely them. I was able to pull a mangled one out of an old support and it is the same. Do you know where I can find these nuts?

Bill may know of some available NOS that I can't access....

Look to Illustration Section 82 - Page 2 and that will hone in on the part number. Used in a few places.

359218-S2

NOS sources I know of are completely dry as far as this part goes.

But, they are close to this I believe.

It also looks like NPD would normally carry this but is out of stock right now.

https://www.npdlink.com/store/produc...-167544-0.html

The cage just snaps into the opening and the wings are on the backside to keep the nut from pulling through.

Not listed under 16138 radiator support.

rearcounter & PartsVoice: CARPENTER NOS OBSOLETE PARTS in Concord NC has 2 = 800-476-9653.

On rearcounter, DC's description is cage BOLT.

No, they don't have any, not even those 2. I can guarantee it.

I got some years ago at a fastener specialist store. If you live in a large community you can probably find a store like that.

I researched a bit further and these should be exact duplicates. They are listed on the official book of fasteners right next to one another.

5/16-24 1.06" OAL .78" Width - 359218-S2
5/16-24 1.06" OAL .78" Width - 377998-S2

It at least gives you a reference to check sizes at other vendors.

Ya, AMK Products has a minimum $30 order, too. Check around and you might be able to get them cheaper. The NOS ones I got some time ago were $1 a piece.
