I know they have kits for this but I’m having a hard time finding a good place to buy them for my 71 ford ranchero with a 302, if It's better to not buy akit, what parts would I need example: rotor, calipers ... I’m not sure of everything I need, I can change my brakes but never done anything like this before should I go to a junk yard and pull a setup off another car? if anyone can give me some info that would be great
Do you think that a station wagon would be the same? What parts should I go after? Everything or should I by some stuff new? Like rotors brakes and so on... will I need more than the calipers?
Well im not 100% you have options, you will definatly need the spindles, rotors, calipers, and pads, you may even need a proportioning valve and the master cylinder. i did the on a maverick once, most salvage yards have a parts interchange book, just figure out which modles you can raid, once you have your spindles on the car, you can then buy remanufactured parts to make it all new, you just buy the parts for what ever model car you got the spindles from. i'd start by looking at a 71 torino, or mustang with front disks and go from there. hope this helps some.
