Lariat trim truck owners - how pleased are you with the quality of your leather seats?
I've always had cloth seats in my trucks, and I was impressed with the quality of cloth in the XLT line. I'm interested in getting feedback from Lariat owners before making a decision. Cloth seats don't allow for seat heater options, and leather may keep value longer. Those considerations aside -any input on the cloth v leather debate?
I've had leather in most of my ford rigs. I've always been impressed with how well the hold up and the overall quality if the material. But I do clean them with leather cleaner/conditioner at least once a quarter. You have to put a bit more work into them.
In my 08 F150 the leather seats looked great when I traded it in. I think that was close to 90,000 miles. In my 2012 the I have just over 90,000, these seats are a light tan. They are doing a great job repelling stains and dirt as well as showing very very little wear.
I like my leather seats. And at 6000 miles I have no wrinkling. However, I have used a leather treatment on them, and the truck is always parked inside.
One important thing to consider is how you enter and exit the truck. From my personal observation, people with leather issues tend to pull themselves in and out... which stretches the leather, wears on the bolster, etc. Having a step where you can step up and sit down seems to be a lot kinder to the material.

Or they are still seated, rotate to get out (sit n spin) and then slide out.

First off disregard any replies from owners that are not talking about 2015 + trucks..
My seats are awful look like ****t, are hard as rocks, and don't cool the back at all.. This is common on all the upper trim levels..
There is even a couple of TSB's out on the seats which I had done and problems remain.
Do a google search on the Ford F-150 2015 and up seats.
