There are many things to consider when looking at aftermarket headlights.
I would suggest looking at photos of Escapes with aftermarket headlights and find a design or appearance you like.
Then do the research into features, fitment, reliability, price, ect...

What ever you do don't install HID conversion kits in the factory housings! It's a waste of money! I tried a 100.00 kit in our 2012 Escape. While they were much brighter there was really only a high beam at low beam and high beam made the light scatter to the point where you couldn't see anything... lowbeam worked better. The biggest issue is that these bulbs are not designed to work with factory housings and are illegal anyway. All they do is blind the oncoming driver and in my case got hot enough to melt the plastic. Make the investment and buy the whole light assembly designed for HID.

I belong to a couple forums for various makers and this is probably the best advice anyone could offer. Trying to fit the stock assembly never seems to work out well.
