My ScanGaugeII tells me that my 2013 stock 6.7L gets increased MPG (from around 21 hwy to about 36 hwy instant read) when regen is occurring. Is the PID wrong?
Odd. If I coast down a long hill my screen goes all green while in regen but any time I touch the throttle it still dives below the average line. Is it possible that you can stay loyal get enough on the throttle to keep your consumption above average during the majority of the regen? Maybe it is?
About the only time I don't really lose many MPGs during Regen is when I am already around 7 MPG while towing my 18k+ fiver... Not sure why that is, but the Regens did not appreciably impact my overall MPG while towing heavy..
Towing my little enclosed trailer (3k) was another matter.. The truck only got around 12 MPG while towing steady 65 MPH over 1700 miles.. Regens would knock down the MPGs then..
When I used to use my SC2 on my truck, I realized that it doesn't count the fuel used during regen.
Mine truck dash MPG gauge would match the SC all the time EXCEPT when it went into regen. The truck gauge would drop and the SC would keep on cruising.
It didn't see that fuel.
