Hey Guys, I'm getting ready to buy AE Auto Enginuity soon and I want to make sure I buy the right one. Can anyone give me a hand here to insure that I buy the package for my truck.. 99.5 F-250 CC 4X4 w major mods.
Below is the one I found that I believe is the right one for our year models, and it seems to be a good price too. I just want to make sure it comes with everything I need, or that I should buy to make the purchase worth it. https://www.autoenginuity.com/products/scan-tool.html

I am not sure what your intended use of AE is, but have you considered other options? There is now a couple of cheaper alternatives (search for Torque Pro and Forscan in this forum) that may do exactly what you want to do at a fraction of the price.
Don't get me wrong AE is an excellent set up, one that I use, but I bought it before other, viable options were available (just over a year ago).
Just trying to look out for a brother and help keep some money in their pocket.
I need to do a Rotational velocity check on each cylinder. I suspect that I might have an issue with a Bad o-ring on an injector, or maybe just a bad injector. I'm not sure yet. But Matt/GH is trying to tune my truck via email and Hydra tuner but as I said he has a feeling I might have a dead cylinder. Some idle surging going on, and very low power when the truck is cold now too. I'm on a brand build with only about 800 miles on it, so it's just a little frustrating trying to work some minor bugs out is all. Thank you Rikster. I'm pretty sure I'm gonna go with AE. I've got 3 7.3's and it just seems real handy to have such a power full tool at my disposal. I also work on a few close friends 7.3's as well, so it seems like the way to go..
