when i got my truck the default was "truck into" with instructions to press ok if i wanted mph. as i live in canada the default is kph. is there a way to change the default to mph?
after two months i started experimenting with the other options specifically "towing" and i played around with that for a while. next thing i knew when i started the truck the default was towing, not truck info. so i had to scroll back to truck info every time. i went to the dealer but the salesman could not get it back to default "truck info" but said he would look into it. in the meantime a few weeks later one morning i started the truck and the default was back to "truck info" but i have no idea why. so two questions. how do you get the default back to truck info if it ever goes to another default. and two, can you get the kph to be mph instead of having to always change it.
Go to the service manager and tell him the screen is stuck in tow mode. Should be a quick fix and warranty. The salesman isn't the technical expert by a long shot, but the shop should have someone certified.
After I connected a trailer, the display would default to trailer everytime. I had to delete the trailer in order to get back to truck info screen upon start up.
I had that happen on my 2012 once. When I plugged trailer back in & disconnected it the issue cleared up on it's own. That was also the only time I disconnect the trailer with the engine running.
I had that happen a week or so ago (after I towed a trailer) I had to deselect the trailer (computer thought the trailer was still attached, operator error on my part) but once I deselected the trailer in the tow screen, it reverted back to the truck information screen......
now that you mention it i did play with the trailer section and set up some fake trailers just to see how it worked. i shouldl go and delete these as i am not sure this whole trailer choices is of value. i have three trailers i tow (boat snowmobile and travel) and all have the same characteristics except for the weight whcih does not seem to matter.......
