Hi all! Last year I bought myself a 96 F250 4WD. P/o swapped in a dana 60 out of a 97 F350. The steering wheel had/has excessive play in it. He told me it needed a steering box, I didn't really care too much at the time because I knew I'd fix it in time. Had the truck in at work on Saturday to give it a check over before inspection is up at the end of April. Found that I had 2 wore tie rod ends (left inner and right outer). My question is, do the dana 60 F350 and dana 50 F250 share the same steering components? I found another article showing how the pitman arms are different. Are the steering boxes the same? I made a list comparing MOOG part numbers for tie rod ends for 96 F250 4WD vs 96 F350 4WD and the numbers did not match. Hoping someone else has some more info for me!

No they don't match since the F-250 is a TTB setup and the F-350 is a solid D60.

 

The steering box is the same, other steering parts are different.

Napa offers a balljoints etc with a life time warranty?! Any one use their parts and had luck getting replacements?
Is there a better brand?
