I thought I had all the hoses together and then I noticed some had steel fittings while others had aluminum. What do you do when two lines connect at the spring lock connector and are different materials?

The suction line off the compressor has a steel material on the connectors. It connects to a line that runs across the firewall. The line that runs across the firewall has a steel connector on one end and an aluminum connector on the other. That is good, the aluminum connector connects to the aluminum dryer. The other end of the aluminum dryer connects to the aluminum evaporator.

The problem is the liquid line that runs from the evaporator to the condenser. That is the one and only after-market line I bought.. everco.. Both ends on that hose are aluminum, which is fine for the evaporator but the connector on the condenser is steel. (also the cheap rubber hose will kink if it is bent at a 90 degree angle! What do you do when a aluminum and steel connector meet?

I found a Motorcraft OEM hose and ordered it last night and will see what it has when it arrives here. I bought the Everco hose from AZ and it was special order... I hope they will take it back because i would hate to sell the flimsy hose to someone else on ebay!

PS,, What about the O-rings, all the new hoses have new green O-rings on them, would you go ahead and replace them since i don't know how old they are?
