Every time I turn on my heat it defaults to A/C! And I always have to hit the button.

It is, but not in the way you're thinking, based on the posts, if I'm reading the intent behind your inquiry correctly.

When harley said it's helpful to know what you're working on other than just an Ex, he meant what kind of engine do you have in your rig.

Basically, Doom-skee, what my red fonted brother who's quoted below, posted:

No prob. The confusion about your OP is this:
1. I had to assume it was an X
2. Then I had to guess a year 2000,2001,2002,2003,2004, OR 2005 ( THIS MATTERS)
3. 5.4, 6.8, 7.3, 6.0 ???? That was an easy assumption LOL
4. 4x4 or RWD
5. XLT or Limited
6. I STILL DON'T KNOW WHAT COLOR IT IS

That would be something you could add to your signature in the "User CP". And it's so easy once you are in there to also add your (general) location too.

Try this, go to your "User CP" then in the left hand menu column go down to "Settings & Options" from there choose "Edit Signature". There you can fill in some info beyond just having a V-10, like the fact that it is black, 4X4 and Bone Stock.
The actual "Profile" is different from the "Signature", hopefully this will help.

Thanks for the link to the hoses. And here's the pics you requested. Not sure exactly what you wanted to see.

So you're thinking it's the vacuum actuator?
