Transmission Code # Breakdown

Hey guys I know this isn't for a ford truck but I'm helping out a friend and am going to try and sell a tranny for him and want to break down the tag #'s for it. Can anyone tell me where to go ( I'm just setting myself up for the classic response ), when I google it well lets just say life is to short to go to all the different places it send me to. The tag says RUG ( or C ) space then M then the #'s under it are 013066 Can anyone help me as far as I can tell it's for a 1967 mustang 390 wide ratio but it doesn't have the sifter mounts on the tail shaft like a usual mustang. Any help would be great. Thanks in advance

You might be able to pull pertinent ID numbers from the VIN or Vehicle Certification tag somewhere on the car.

Not sure an OEM trans would have ID markings, a reman'd one might though.

Thanks JWA I forgot to put it in the post it's not in a car or truck right now. It was an old one laying around a transmission shop that closed up. Sorry about that. Thanks again

Wide ratio without the shifter on the tail would not be a BB Mustang.

A decent toploader should be worth over $500, maybe more. Look at Kee's price list for new and reman'd ones.
