how would you attack this dinger?

for all you bump body guys, how would you attack this dinger? i'm new at bodywork but have been a welder for awhile

With a stud gun , puller, and hammers.

Gees one of those Orange peel paint jobs hides many defects & dings.

First for starters you need a body dolly kit. Like this Hammer & Dolly Sset 7 PC Auto Body Fender Repair Tool Hammer and Dolly Set | eBay

And then start working it out. And try to get all the high areas down. Then use body filler or bondo block sand to match the surface sure fix it up.

Where that dent is on the front fender it is open on the back side, the easiest way would be to hammer and dolly. If it was in a spot where you didn't have excess to the back of the panel pullers as HIO says would be the way to go.

just watched a couple of how to videos on the stud welder but i do have access to the back(i still will be purchasing a stud welder), i've got dolly and body hammers(never used, just learning), that's going to work, thanks for the info

As mentioned above, body hammer and dolly. If your left handed (by the looks of the picture) you should have no problem.

That bondo needs a good cross hatched base sanded surface so you can father it out into the paint. Then spray with filler primer and re-sand with wet 400. Repeat as needed till your happy with it.
