Rear leaf spring question!
I removed the rear leaf springs from my 67 highboy. On the front hanger of the rear leaf, what holds the nut tight inside the hanger? When I hit it with the impact the bolt came right out and the nut was held tight. The other side, the nut and bolt spun together I had to cut down a wrench to fit it down in the hanger to hold the nut from spinning. On the side that the nut stayed in the hanger it is completely packed with rocks, rust and crud and the nut doesn't look to be in great shape. Not sure if I should bust it out and replace it?
