another hopefullly simple question
I bought sway bars for my truck. I already put the rear one on. That was easy. As for the front one. I tried today, but no success. To put the outer bracket on (the one under the coil springs) you have to take the nut off of that bolt through the I-beam located under the spring pearch or seat. I tried liquid wrench and a big breaker bar that we have. The thing wont budge. Any idea how to get it off? Is it torqued to some enourmous amount of foot pounds??

There's a nut under the perch as well as the one on top. You cannot take things apart by wrenching on the bolt, it will not budge. You need to take the nut off the top, which is not all that difficult. I used a box wrench stuck through the gap in the spring coil rather than a socket and extension from the top of the spring. I'll have to check my manual to get you the torque setting, but it's not terribly high on the upper nut; it is quite high on the lower one though.
