Starter bolts

Ok so, I have a problem with my starter bolts coming lose and backing them selfs out. The other day this situation happened to me again. I went an got new bolts an this time I used lock washers . After installing the two bolts I started up the truck and it made a horrible sound coming from the separator plate . The noise sounded like metal rubbing. So I backed the bolts out a 1/4 of a turn an the sound went right away. Has anyone had this problem before with starter bolts backing them selfs out? The truck is a 86 f150 302efi . is there a fix? I did use blue lock tight also.

Sounds like the bolts you have are a little bit too long. Get a shorter bolt or cut a little bit off the ones you have and then tighten them down good. The lock washers and the locktite should cure the loosening problem.
