I have an '87 E150 conversion van with the Grey Bell Vans topper... There is a channel which houses the screws, which attatch the topper to the van body... The plastic insert which covers the screws is gone, deteriorated over the years... Tried Google search to find this plastic insert (which pretty much wraps completely around the top), but can't find anything... Any love out there?
Thanks!

Vinyl Trim Molding Screw Cover is what you are looking for. You need to measure the inside width of the aluminum molding and i believe it is a 1/4 you add..
it comes in different colors and a few different designs but you are probably looking for something like this:
Again it has to be wider then the aluminum trim in order to bow out once in place.
If you zoom in on the end of the grey colored roll on this site, you can see how it fits in. You just squeeze in on it a little and put it in the track.. https://www.etrailer.com/RV-Exterior.../CAM25212.html
I doubt they used expensive (but very heavy duty) boat rub-rail.. but in case they did, here is an example of that and they have a good video there.. Also if any of your screws are rusted, you have to find screws that are compatible with aluminum and steel.. http://www.jamestowndistributors.com...num+Rub+Rails#
When you cut it, be sure and leave a bit of extra length as it will shrink a bit over time, you can work the vinyl backwards a little. The make a trim piece to cover over the where the ends butt together but i don't remember what it is called.
