Hey guys I have an 03 6.0, just did the oil cooler. Now I can't get to start
FICM won't sync
Icp pressure is not building at all 0.62psi
Ipr at 14.8% and won't climb
Just put new oil cooler, ipr screen, icp sensor. Thanks for any input
You have checked and double checked ALL the connections and those in the vicinity of the aforementioned work?
Something is not talking to something, somewhere.
Check cam and crank sensor harness and plugs for starters.
I would check the FICM connectors again to make sure they are seated. When installed mine a while back I coated the front of the connector with a THIN coating of dielectric grease. They go together better with a definite SNAP sound.
0.62psi or 0.62volts? If it's volts, that's about 350psi which if I remember right is a common reading for a failed IPR, EXCEPT that it's only being commanded 14.8% duty cycle. 14.5 is open (it's normal position) 85 is max closed. Because it has low pressure and isn't closing the IPR, I'd unplug the ICP and try to start it next. Double check numbers also. ICP is saying pressure is low but PCM isn't commanding IPR to increase duty cycle.
If your Injection Control Pressure is less than 1 psi, no amount of wire checking is going to get the truck to start. You have a leak in the high pressure oil system, some crud got caught up in the system, or you have a bad ICP sensor.
If this is a late build 04 or newer, you can try unplugging the ICP sensor on the passenger side valve cover to see what joy you get then. Just don't try cranking too terribly much without topped off batteries or you risk hurting your FICM. If you do, we can help you out, but I'd rather you never had an issue.
