A few days ago I got my new 2016 F350 6.7.
So far, I love the truck other than the gas tank. What the hell size tank does this have? 22 gal? after 300 miles I had to fill up and I'm getting 17mpg not good but better than my Raptor got, and I could go about 400 miles on that. Can another tank be plumbed in without having to transfer?
I sure wouldn't be complaining about your mpg, but the small tank in the short beds is probably the biggest design flaw in the SD, IMHO. Long bed 37 gal tank gives me a range of between 500-600 miles.
Yep us gassers have a 35 gallon. 6.7 have a 26 which is the same tank as the f150's. Big flaw on the 6.7's. I beleive its due to the exhaust design it cant accomodate a larger tank. I do about 400 mile range on about 30-32 gallons
Yeah, the diesels have to have room for the DEF tank as well, which I thought was around 5 gallons, but since it's a separate tank it requires its own mounting brackets and such, so the total tank capacity isn't the same.
The Short Bed diesels can accommodate a larger tank. It's just that FORD don't want to design or put one in, for whatever reason. Titan makes a 50 Gal tank that fit's in the same area for stock trucks.
