When I recently changed my glow plugs I noticed the front passenger plug was dry when I pulled it out. All the others were covered with oil when pulled. The truck hadn't been started for a couple weeks. Is this normal or is it a bad thing
Have you tested them? Just changed mine and they were all dry just a little crusty. Might be that the dry one is the only one working? I'm no where near an expert though...Kind of curious myself
Last time I replaced mine a few were dry and the rest had oil on them. I measured each and they all ohm'd out the same, good. Only reason I replaced them was due to age and because I was replacing the valve cover gaskets and connectors. I think they just loose their seal over time, doesn't seem to hurt anything.
I thought I did pretty good at soaking up the oil around the top of the glow plugs. I'm just really trying to figure out what's goin on with my smokey cold starts after putting in stage 1 injectors. Been talking to Jody and he is thinking about adding more timing to the modified stock tune. But I want to make sure everything is 100% good on my end. Thanks fellas.

I just went through this and found in had a weak battery. After putting new batteries in it is much better.
