I have a 1950 F-1 truck body that i want to put on a 2002 Lightning chassis.
I purchased the Lightning as a salvage that has been stolen and recovered with the steering column torn apart. I have no keys and not way of knowing if the thief destroyed the engine or trans before leaving the truck for dead.
I will not want the PATS on the 50 because i want to keep the dash looking stock, no tilt wheel and no Lightning gauges exposed.
When i turn the ignition barrel with a screwdriver all the gauges peg to the right and the security light lights but no engine cranking.
Can i purchase a stand alone ECM for the 2002 L?
Thanks
I suspect it will kick some butt. Turns out a lock smith can program a blank key even with the thing torn up, just place the blank near the receiver, start his magic programmer show it a second key and bingo 10 minutes and a few dollars later its done.
Now time make sweet music.
