Hi all. Got a bit of a problem here, hopefully someone can offer some insight.
Got a security/remote start installed a couple weeks ago. Immediately after, my steering wheel radio controls (that I run thru an adapter to the aftermarket stereo) stopped working. Thought maybe I just had to reprogram it. But now I'm getting an intermittent airbag light flashing code 32, which the Great Interwebz tells me is probably a clockspring issue. Cruise control and climate controls still work fine, and the airbag thing is only sometimes, tho it does seem to be getting worse.
I'd start by taking it back to the remote start installer. Under the steering column seems to be a favorite place to install the brains and they tap into everything there.

I was wondering that myself, tho I could have sworn they said they put it deep in the dash. I haven't had a chance to poke around under there yet, are the airbag & radio wires on different plugs by chance?
Yes, they are. The radio, cruise, etc. in the steering wheel is all connected through the clock spring. The clock spring is a ribbon cable that rotates around the steering shaft. There is a plug for the airbag directly behind the airbag on the front side of the steering wheel - it is on a separate circuit. I think there is also a second plug for the airbag towards bottom of the column.
