need a new muffler

im looking for a porformance muffler without the loud race like rumble for a good price. any suggestions 97 ranger 4 cyl 2.3l reg cab

please lits mufflers and prices thanks

Gibson is supposed to be a fairly quiet muffler with good performance. Looks like you can get an Alumnized Steel one for around $90 or SS for about $140. That's muffler only. I am getting the Gibson cat-back soon. People that have them seem to love them.

Gibson is barely louder than stock. I really like mine. You might try an orginal flowmaster 40 series... for LOUD.

The Gibson SS is louder inside and outside the cab, but not by much. It also has a deeper tone. Plus the truck DOES feel a little faster now. Overall, a good mod to do.

you guys say you like the Gibson, do you have the full cat back or just the muffler. I just want to know what to expect when I get my Exhaust. Thanks
