Cup/Drink Holder?

Always looking to see what others have done when it comes to the little things. I could really use a couple cup holders in my '53. Bench seat, column shift, prefer not using a seat console. Found these, and was thinking of making a simple slide-in bracket under the dash but always open to other ideas.

I use the original cup holder in my trucks, putting my drink between my thighs.

I like the top picture and could see mounting something in place of the useless ash tray.

Yup, back in the day we learned to keep our knees together.

When I make consoles, I use empty cake frosting cups...good size, deep enough, cheap.

I found these for $15/ea. online. I also found their billet counterparts for $150/each! I may have to order a couple. Thinking a small bracket attached to the bottom of the dash would be better than cutting holes.

I just put a shoe on the floor, put the cup where your foot goes in. Works really well.

Roll of duct tape works well too...and you get to keep both shoes on!

A large styrofoam cup of something hot between the boys doesn't quite sound like fun. And even though I'm in Kentucky I like to keep my shoes on when I'm driving (a scorpion in my dune buggy in Florida taught me that lesson.) Maybe I should try a beer helmet?
