Are the early 99 bellowed up pipes any different than 99-2003 up pipes? I was looking because i think i have an exhaust leak from them. if there is any easyish way to fix it other than bellows if they are not the same?
They are different. Some have modified the original uppies with bellows but you would have pretty good at fab work and welding. Not sure if Dorman is making them now but they can be had for a price. Some have said using a donut off an older Chevy small block has yielded better results than replacing it with OEM but I have no personal experience with this. Someone also makes a brass or bronze donut but again I have no experience with it.
Sorry I'm no better help but someone else with more knowledge will chime in. I researched this a little when I had my E99 but never pursued it.
You could make your own if you have the tooling and skill set, but for the price, the Riffraff up pipes are great. They fit perfect and have everything you need.

it doesnt look like they come with the collector, should i get the collector too?
No you don't have to do anything to the intercooler. It's not a cheap conversion.
No it's not but I got that short bus and if there are no intercooler changes it has what I need to do that upgrade. It was recommended to me but I thought that the intercooler has bigger piping.
Dope, wasn't thinking you do have the shorty bus to do the conversion with.
The piping is the same even where it connects to the "Y" pipe. the differences is where it goes into the plenums and connects to the turbo.
When I did my conversion I didn't have to mess with any intercooler stuff. I know when I ordered the boots from Clay it was 3" at the pipe and the intercooler was 3.25" on my truck.
