I could be wrong but I think he may be referring to the large thrust washer that sits between the hub unit and the knuckle seal with the four grooves on it. Absolute, if that is what your talking about it should be on both sides and the grooves face in (away from the hub) on re-installation.
Yeah, you're right. My brain automatically goes to the stack of three because I usually find one of them missing when whoever worked on the truck before me couldn't get the snap ring on and decided to just toss one of them in the trash, lol.
Thanks, your not missing much on the slotted rotors. Mine are already warped and have not been to happy with them.
As far as which way to install the inner seal, I don't remember exactly which way it goes in. I want to say the little lip goes outside. Glad that the seal you got will work for you.
Oh my god!!! I hate Napa. I forgot to get new shocks, so went back. I wanted the Bistein ones that are adjustable, but , of course we cant get those here. So he finds another brand, KYC or something. Still adjustable, but a hefty price. What ever, I say give them to me. Lol. The guy asks, which wheel base do you have? I said, "What? Its a crew cab dually" He says , " Ya but how many inch wheel base" I am stumped. I havnt a clue what he wants? I have no shocks. Didn't know what to buy! Don't know what to measure or find out what inches I have???? Damb, usually I just tell them the year and model and the guy hands me shocks. Now I need to do math to get shocks? WTF! HELP!
Ha, Just tell him that you have more inches than him.
Basically he wants to know the length of the truck from rear hub to front hub, which makes absolutely no sense. If it's a stock truck tell him stock height.

Ya I told him stock crew cab 4x4 dually. He turned the screen towards me and there was like 5 different measurements? I guess I'll measure hub to hub, see if that's what he wants. It was around 157 inches or something, and others. So maybe that is right. We'll see I guess. I'll bring my vin number maybe that can help. How complicated just to get shocks. lol
Interesting reviews on the rotors. I may just go stock now. I really was looking for more stopping power as I have extreme lead foot syndrome. But it appears they are no better. At least the stock ones never warped on me. I asked the Lordco guys why they don't sell them here. He said because no one wants them??? Guess the reviews are right. He said first off people complained they sounded like helicopters landing when they stopped, and second they wore out faster than stock ones and cost more. So......basically they sat on the shelf , and they sold out of stock ones. So no more slotted. Wow, not what I would have expected since its the way to go on 90% of vehicles. That said, have you seen the brakes on the new trucks. They are huge! the calipers are double the size!!! Wish I could adapt those onto my truck. Lol
Ok guys. Got all my parts and things sorted out. Except shocks. I can not get adjustable shocks in Canada. Self adjustable yes, but I want the ones with the adjustment **** to manually do it. I think Bilstein is the ones I saw in the US on another thread, and they even had a mail in rebate with the link. But I can't find it. Anyone have that link for the manual adjustable Bilstein front shocks for the 04 F350 Dually Crew Cab. Stock height?
Are you thinking of the Rancho RS9000 XL? Just bought them last week and need to update that thread. They are the ones with the $100 mail in rebate. I bought mine from AutoAnything cause they were the only ones that had them for a 6" lift plus they gave me a pretty good deal on top on the mail in rebate.
Yes, I think it was your link. I found it. Ordering Now. Which rears did you order. Theres two there. One says RWD, the other says 4WD. But the 4WD one says "also 2 1/2 inch longer" . SO I'm not sure if that means all 4WD and the 2 1/2 is an option, or if that's for lifted trucks only. And can't find dually, so they must be the same. Lol. Gonna have to phone them. Just noticed yours is F250. I was looking at f350 though, just not sure which to get.
Sorry for the lat response, I just called up AutoAnything and told them the year of the truck with a 6" lift and the ordered it up for and was going to take care of the rebate for me as well.
Got the new axle all done. Managed to get the shocks at Lordco. Cost more, but get the rebate and no shipping and waiting. That said , everything rides fantastic, tight and smooth. And I still need to get an alignment. Might wait until I put the new rims and tires on since it rides perfect. Shocks seem great, even though I have them on a low setting. That said. I have a question on shocks. The stocks are different because of the metal shroud and no rubber boot, so comparing was difficult. When I stand next to the truck looking at the 9000's, The rubber boot is compressed and only about 4" of rod is extended. I compressed the old stock shock and it appeared close, but the shroud limited seeing how much rod is exposed compressed. Is 4" normal on a stock suspension? I read the spec and it has 7.75" of travel, so 4" would appear to me to be in the middle, and normal, but it looks odd with the boot all the way compressed like that. Any reassuring thoughts??
