The throttle seems jumpy

I need some help here,
I have a 1997 F250 With the 7.3 Standard Transmission Runs great. The problem I'm having is when Im starting off or when I'm in a parking lot and want to give it a little fuel it seems to take off and If I let off and try to feather the throttle it seems to buck. Its very hard to give it a little fuel.
So, I have read posts and was thinking it was the TPS. So I changed out the fuel peddle and it seems to be about the same, maybe a little better but for the most part the same.

Is there anything else I need to be looking at?
Thanks for your help and hope I explained the problem.

Jim

First, we have completely different engines.
Second, I had those exact symptoms with my truck and just fixed it this weekend. If I'm idling around a parking lot at say, 7mph, I can't just give it a little gas and go 8 or 9mph. It jumps all the way to 12-15. I'm making these numbers up, but that's the scenario.

My problem was partially clogged fuel injectors. Now that I cleaned them, the problem is gone and it accelerates nice, gentle and smooth off idle. Hope this helps, it's something to check anyway.

I'd post over in the 7.3 Diesel section. That engine, and its associated electronics are very unique compared to the gas engine trucks.

I posted there as well. I don't know if the pedal is the same or not, thinking about it I don't think they are. Gas engines may have a cable and mine is all electrical.
At this point all info is good.

Thanks Lead Head

It's completely different, unfortunately. The controls, electronics, injection system, etc... is all radically different and diesel specific.
