Hello, everyone. Just got a UOA report back from Blackstone on my 2007 F-150. This was on a 3,000 mile interval of Motorcraft SB 5W-20. Just wanted to post this here in case anyone is interested in doing one. I'm amazed at how well mine is wearing.

 

Nothing looks amiss, but of course your wear metals will be low when you're changing it that soon. With less than half the recommended interval I'd expect it to be that low.

 

The average interval they told me is 5,800 miles, so I was just barely over half way. My owners manual recommends 5,000 if I remember correctly - but it is still pretty impressive to me given that I take a lot of short trips in this truck. I change it early because of this very reason. Doesn't have a lot of time to warm up. Plus, this interval was over 4 months to get to 3,000 miles during winter with cold temps which will result in higher wear metals, mainly at start up. All-in-all, I am very happy with the results.
