[QUOTE=JimsRebel;16145893]On my truck and other V-belt trucks with factory AC the power steering pulley V-belt is moved to the center location and the AC is in the forward V-belt groove.
Moving the belt is done with a different PS pulley. In the photo below the gap between the PS pulley and the mounting bolts for the PS pump is very close, maybe 3/8 inch or so.
So is your truck V-belt setup like this photo?
Jim
.
Yes same set up. From the engine block outward: Alt, PS, Factory AC Compressor belts (3)
1980/86 F100/350 2WD 300 I-6 with factory installed integral A/C (all 1980/83 F100's sold new in US/Canada are 2WD).
No Ford dealer or obsolete parts vendor has any.
(sigh) Clueless ebay seller with C7AZ-3A733-A (replaced C5AZ-3A733-G) .. P/S Pump Pulley was used 1965/77 in I-6 & V8 cars/trucks with Ford/Thompson P/S pump with steel reservoir.
It will not work with Ford C-II P/S pump with plastic reservoir introduced in 1978.
Yes I am a Pack Rat when it comes to rare or obsolete parts for my truck. I had to buy the whole power steering pump assy to get this, but having AC is important to me.
Just to be fair if you take off the AC belt you can use a more common pulley on the outer V groove.
Anyway make me an offer, shipping will be $7-8 range.
I took photos but cant seem to add them to a PM.
Send me a direct email and I will send them to you.
Jim
To add pics to a PM you have to have them saved some place on the internet, like one of your FTE albums, and then insert the link into the PM. That's a flaw in the system here at FTE as you do it one way for posts and another for PM's.
The PM message thing is apparently not working. I attempted 2 PMs soon after posting my last message and no replies. They do not show up in my 'sent' message folder either.

OK, back on line again. Both PM did come thur this morning, but I had already left the house.
Bottom line is I don't really want to sell it that bad ($20), If i did ever need to replace mine, it it would be very difficult for me to find another one.
Well, that's disappointing to read. The point of telling me you had a spare was?? I figured it meant it was for sale, but it never was, was it?
Thanks a lot....
Pretty interesting that none of those pulleys listed is the size of an EOTC-3D673-BA which was on my 1985 F150 300 with dealer install AC. That pulley is a bit less than 5 ¹/4.
Edit: Just realized I was looking at water pump pulley size.
I found my exact pulley on fleabay. He sold his last of three already.

I think the dealer installed AC is the added complications .
I was hoping the that the other thread might provide some answers.

My AC is long gone. I was looking at two aftermarket 11/16 press fit V pulleys in the 5 inch range (about $88). So long as the press fit works as well as the alignment, it seems that the pulley size is less important (5 to 6 inches shouldn't make much difference on a work truck.)
I also plan on hitting two wrecking yards tomorrow that have 79 to 89 trucks in them that may have the pulley. If I can get more than one I may look at getting some machined. Seems like there is a small demand. Pretty wild to me that these pulleys aren't a Dorman thing.
The pump on my truck is an STP-49-RM which shows to be on 1984 to 1998 trucks with various belt set ups. I believe the shaft is listed as .6875 or 11/16 (need to verify) so that leaves us looking at alignment and groove depth.
According to another Ford parts site, these pumps (stp49rm) were the same for:
Ford F-100 1980 - 1983
Ford F-150 1980 - 1989
Ford F-250 Super Duty 1980 - 1989
This verifies any pulley from these years should fit the 11/16 press fit shaft.
