Hi all,

My fiance and I are looking forward to moving to Kansas here in the coming months, most likely in the first days of June. We are specifically going to be moving into the Kansas City area, as I have accepted a job with a company there.

Thought I would stop by and say hi, try and meet some new folks and hear what there was to be heard.

Is the job in KC Missouri, or KC Kansas? What part of KC are you moving to?

As you read through the Kansas threads, you might notice that we don't really talk about a lot, other than a lot of nonsense, but occasionally we do have some "on topic" threads. Feel free to grab on to any of them and join along!

 

Well thanks, I will be graduating as an electrical engineer and she will be graduating as a high school/ middle school english and middle school math teacher. We both come from Southern Minnesota farm families, although I've been at school in Rapid City for awhile now. We are getting pretty excited to get things going. We are graduating, getting married, and moving to Kansas all in a 4 week period.

Not sure where we will be in Kansas yet, I just signed my letter 6 days ago, so we haven't gotten a place nailed down yet. The company's address is actually Lenexa and I am hoping to be within a half hour drive of the offices, but we shall see what comes up. We are probably going to be looking for a place to rent to begin with, as the job will entail moving all over the country every so often.

Not to worried about getting to technical, got the 7.3 board for that. I just wanted to stop and say hi, meet some of you guys down here in Kansas, maybe get a head start on making some new friends.

Welcome! we have as few guys from over in KC area-- in fact we have a guy in Rapid City now :-) We have several events thought the year and have a good time chatting about nothing-- and once in awhile something here on the boards.

Looking forward to hopefully meeting up with some of the guys and attending a few events if possible. I'm sure life will be busy for a while with the wedding and move and starting a new job, but hopefully once all that settles down a bit we will have more time to make some new friends.

 

Welcome and congratulations on getting married. If you like to go four wheeling we usually plan a few trips up near Manhattan at Tuttle Creek or near Ft. Scott at Kansas Rocks. Occasionally we just get together to hang out at car shows and swap meets too. If you have anything cool going on in your area be sure to post up.
