LED light bar wiring.

Ok short and simple post. Should I snake the wires down behind the door weatherstripping and into the engine bay and hook up there, or should I run a line up to the roof through the passenger pillar and mount a deck plug (like the one posted below)?

Any other ideas? Bear in mind that I need to be able to carry 25 amps reliably. Its a 52" 300watt led light bar.

Draws 25 amps at 12v (truck off)
Or
Draws 21.5 at 13.8v(truck running)

Do you have the upfitter switches? The number one switch should provide the power you need I believe.

Unfortunately I don't.

I'd use a relay and keep the high current wires out of the passenger compartment.

I planned to install a 30 amp relay and switch. Either way I go I need to run 10awg up to the lightbar. So there's only one other option of getting around having to run some heavy wire through the cab, and that would be to snake the light bar wire (bear in mind it's 2 10awg wires encased in insulation, pretty thick stuff) down behind the driver door weatherstrip and down between the hood and fender and do all my wiring under the hood. Which might take a little more wire (to route everything neatly and cleanly anyways)

My thinking was with the deck plug, run 1 10awg wire for the + side. Than run a short run somewhere (roof or to passenger pillar) and mount my ground straight to the body

Well decided to run the wires like this for the time being:

Found a slit down the weather stripping that I was able to tuck the wires into. The more I think about the deck plug the more im concerned that someone might swipe my light bar. All my main wiring runs right into the engine bay. And only have one 16 guage wire running into the cab for my relay switch.
