where did all the dings and dents come from.

Isn't it amazing how much stuff an old truck can store? If you leave an old truck sitting for more than a week or two it just fills up
I don't know where the stuff comes from

Well if yours is anything like mine ....nonstop home renovation projects , shopper paper ads , yard / garage sales , craigslist, on and on . my hood has a new dent one of the doors too . i came home once and found several sheets of 4x8 plywood strapped to the roof ! I blew up at that . a little off subject but .... She once was going to use a spare GOOD flathead block as a base for a bird bath .... I DON'T THINK SO !!!! Although it would've been the coolest one in the hood .....

That's the best looking storage unit I've seen in a long time. My donor cab is full of non truck related stuff, but that's my fault.
Once I had a 70 sport custom. Nothing fancy but really straight. Parked at the grocery store, before I had a chance to even get out of the truck this 400 pound woman parks right next to me about 2 feet away on my passenger side.
Took her almost 10 minutes to get out of her car and about 15 dents in my door. I hopped out after the first few dents and asked her if she needed some help beating the crap out of my door. She replied" No, I can manage. Never said I'm sorry or anything. Some folks just don't care 'bout nothin'.

My wife drove it the evening we picked up my new 2007 F150. We were meeting friends for dinner. I was driving my F350 dually that she would not drive. I parked the dually and she pulled in beside me. This nice lady with a carload of kids pulled in close beside her and the kids immediately opened their door into the side of the brand new F150 giving it the first dent.

I started denting and scratching my red truck within seconds after picking up the individual pieces from the paint shop.
There must be about a dozen 'cuss-marks' on the truck now despite my best efforts to preserve it. The worst one is from the gas grille. I have a one-car garage and that truck takes up most of it. I have to squeeze everything past the truck to get in and out the door including the riding mower (with 1/2" to spare) ladders, bee hive boxes, etc. Well the gas grille comes and goes with about 10" to spare on most days. Well one day I was making the corner pulling it behind me and was watching the front corner and cleared the truck's front fender with speed and grace. Forgot all about the back corner of the gas grille as I did a 90 degree turn inside. Riiiipppppppppppp! Put a four inch long gash in the most freakin' visible part of that fender. Then to make things worse I grabbed some touch up paint to fill it in. I had two little cans of paint. One can was a red color that was used on the wheels - real close to the body red. I didn't realize that it was off shade until it dried. Then I tried to fix that with the other color. Came out worse because I hurried. The truck still sports the gas grille incident for all to see and for me to learn from.
The blue '49 project is not going to get any bodywork. I'll be able to use it without worry, and perhaps add more character to it on purpose just to make me feel better.

Don't you hate it when you park in the far end of a lot away from everyone and some lazy person just pushes the grocery cart away instead of walking it to the cart holder. Of course the cart keeps rolling down the slight incline they purposely put in those lots right into your door. There is no safe place to park except the handicap spots--they are extra wide!!

I parked my new F350 Harley truck in a next to empty parking lot to have a birthday dinner for my daughter in a restaurant in a strip mall that had no outside windows. Some kids decide to do doughnuts in the fresh snow and slide sideways into my truck putting a huge dent in the passenger door, then took off. Luckily my daughters ex boyfriend was in the parking lot facing my truck and saw the whole thing. Got their plate number. Of course they were driving an old wreck and didn't give a rats a$$. , Doug.
