That is a seal that is sticking out. I know that much! As far as what happened to cause it, I am clueless! I have no clue how that pump is biuilt. All I know is it took me 7 hrs, 3 skinned knuckles, 2nd guessing if I was good enough to do this and my legs are tired from climbing up and down that damn ladder creeper!

SHE IS ALIVE! SHE IS ALIVE!

So I decided to push through the rest of it tonight and got the truck fired up.
I love that remote start wire. I spun the engine over 4 different times for 10 seconds or so. Cycled the key a few times and on the second attempt at starting it, it fired right up and settled into an idle.

ICP cold was at 850-925. IPR was between 21-26.

I have no leaks at the moment. The only causality is a dropped inner fan shroud bolt. My middle boy forgot to put a bolt in that holds the fule line for the passenger side head to the intake. He took the bolts out and didn't remove them. When he moved the shroud to put the one in for the fuel line one fell. We looked for an hour. Pulled the inner shroud out and still couldn't find it.

The 20 minute road test was awesome. The Ex has more pep in her step.

I figured that the original pump lasted 12 years and 214k miles, The replacement hopefully last that long! If it doesn't I hope it dies under the 2 year warranty! lol

I wish I could have dropped the $ on the following: adrenaline pump, late 04 and up intake, new up pipes, y-pipe, aftermarket turbo.

Amazingly the wife is happy with the repair. She told me not to worry about the $ on the repair, we knew it was going to be costly when we bought it.

She took the road test with me last night. After the truck got to operating temperature, I whomped on it a few times and her response was it is pulling like a truck at the tractor pull.
