My dash pad is in perfect condition and want to keep it that way. Aside from locking it in cool dark cave, Anyone have any thoughts on using chemicals like armoral? I heard from a detailing service that armoral is actually bad for it long term. I have used amoral in past without problems, but never on something as precious as a bullnose dash.
303 Aerospace Protectant has a really good reputation and they'll even send you a free sample (they sent one to me last Winter but it's been too cold out to try it yet).

Mine is also in pristine condition. This is a good question as I was just about to armor all the dash..

Armor All will actually let the sun destroy your dash. It happened to me on my old 80 F150. I have used Black Magic for years with excellent results. I received a free sample of 303 and it works well too from what I have seen so far. Haven't used it long enough to know how it will hold up long term.
Armor all becomes a super-heated oil inside a closed car and is equivalent to deep frying your plastics. I got the 303 sample and the stuff is top notch. That being said, there is no substitute for keeping radiation off the dash. If you really want it to last, put a dash carpet on it... even if you just toss it on there when it's parked. I found an un-cracked dash as well, and mine will wear a dash rug. I live at high elevation in Arizona and the UV is brutal on paint, plastics, rubber... any organic solid. It is a shame to have a nice dash only to cover it... but no product in a bottle can really preserve it long term.
I have used 303 since I received the free sample on my wife's Taurus and I have to say, it is like vinyl honey. Great stuff. We do use a windshield sun deflector as the car does sit outside a lot and the dash surface is huge. I have applied it twice now and it seems as though it has restored the vinyl's suppleness without any greasiness or being a dust magnet. I dressed all of the interior plastic and vinyl with it. The Taurus is a 265,000 + mile car out of South Carolina with a surprisingly mint interior and hopefully the 303 will keep the interior intact with the car now being in the north. In Northeast Ohio we have expansion/contraction issues with the seasons....If you don't like the weather, wait five minutes....it'll change.
