Newer Navigator (forget year) had been serviced and now the Keypad, keyfob and autolock do not work. This is a coworker of a friend so I had them check by cycling the ignition switch 8 times and no response. I'm guessing there is a problem with the RAP module, but wanted to check and see other possibilites besides maybe a fuse or pulled connector. Also, are there any specific reprogramming instructions to set it to the truck or should I just need to reprogram the remotes.
The model year would be important. Early models use RAP, later models use Central Security Module and there are multiple methods of programming. My guess since you lost multiple functions of several devices is that you have a problem that wont do you any good to reprogram. The keypad has a permanent key code that wont change. Does the keypad even light up when you press it? Do the door locks work with the door switches? I would check connections at what ever module it uses and check fuses first. What services were performed before this occured?

where is the receiver for the keyfob remote? i had posted on here a while back that my 98 eb keyfob was not working, it only works about 1 out of every 25 times, and you have to have the remote almost sitting on the car for it to work. i cleaned the contacts on both remotes, and put new batteries, but i still have the same problem.

Off the top of my head I believe your RAP module should be located under the left hand side of the instrument panel. Usually beige in color about 2 inches thick, 4 inches wide and about 6 inches long. It should be laying almost against the firewall on a bracket that I believe is held in with two 10MM headed nuts. It will have two or three wiring connectors going to it. My guess is you have bad remotes. I hear the early ones are hard to find and expensive though. If you have a keypad on the door and it works fine, and the door switches work fine, then the probability that the remotes are bad is high.

I was under the impression that the CSM was for non Remote vehicles, and the RAP was a receiver for the Remote. Anyway, another shop replaced the o2 sensor(s) and the problem occured. But I think I was misinformed, it may actually be a Mountaineer.
I doubt reprogramming will work either. Its just I remember seeing on some of the RAP modules to call a 800 number for replacment, so I figured there was a special procedure if the module was replaced. Thanks for the info, I guess I'll just have to see what it is when it comes in.
No, definitely CSM. I've seen it listed along with the RAP on some years of the wiring diagrams in mitchell. Problably just consolidation with the mitchell docs.
If I need any clues with the Keyless once I get my hands on the vehicle I'll be sure to post up! Thanks!
