2003 E450 Catalytic Converter Failure
The Catalytic Converter plugged up on my 2003 E450 California RV with 72,000 miles. No check engine lights as it only has an O2 sensor prior to the converter. Thought it was a bad fuel filter or pump, as loss of power symptoms improved with a new fuel filter but soon returned. developed a slow speed miss and when taken in for a fuel pump at the dealership found 15 psi of back pressure and low compression on cylinders 4 & 9. Heat buildup had caused valves to stretch (Tulip). Has anyone else had this type of failure?
