That one you linked to on Mac's site is not the original style. The one in the eBay auction is the original. The pedal is the same for 6 and 8, but the linkage is different. Sounds like somebody replaced your original
That is weird. The pedal that I pulled out of my truck looks exactly like the one linked.
The link claims its for a 47 Ford truck as well. Now as far as the linkage goes, that was missing from my truck, so I have no idea how that was set up.
There was a lot of modification to the truck so nothing surprises me anymore.
Since I am starting from scratch, would it be better to get one of the universal pedal set ups from ebay?
I've got a 351W I'm dropping in my '46, and as much as I'd like the original pedal, I might go with an aftermarket spoon type and use a cable rather than the rods for ease in adapting.
