Ads?

I just got a new laptop up and running so I have not been on for a while. I'm noticing ads at the bottom of the posts! Is it my laptop with something not clicked, block popups is on, or did the sight get sold out to the people that want to ruin sights like they did to TV. If this is the case i'm VERY disappointed in FTE.
Hope I'm wrong!

Gotta pay the bills somehow. There is something you can do in your settings to block them but im not sure how off the top of my head.

Search for Ad Block Plus, and install it for whatever browser you are using.

Like I said I have the Ad Blocker using Google Chrome. Is there something I'm missing? Not likely. IT is what it is! Still sucks!

Please be specific. What is it I need to do. A setting on the laptop or the FTE site. Windows 10 is different still learning how it ticks.

Like you said you have pop-up blocker on. That does nothing for ads. Based on that info I suggested adblock plus. I have it installed on Firefox, and don't see any ads on this or any other site.

And, yes I am aware that the latest version of chrome has built in ad blocking. However, if after turning it on and the ads persist I suggest you try ad block plus.

On fte settings... user control panel. It was a long time ago I did it and it has worked ever since. I don't remember what it was, someone posted instructions on how to do it here. Maybe you can poke around in the user cp and find it.

Thank's for that link! My old computer must have had it or something like it installed and I didn't know it. Ad Block is installed on the new one now. I'm going for a road test now. Thanks!!

another way to get rid of the ads is to become a site supporter.
