Air pump?
Good day everyone hope everyone is doing well,
Ive a question can the air pump in a 87 i6 be deleted without causing any hiccups in the engines preformance? I live in new mexico and dont have smog testing so if possible id rather have it removed since mice have chewed threw the hoses anyway

Yes, getting rid of the converter would eliminate the possibility it would fail.
For the record, even if you don't have emission testing it is against federal law to remove pollution control devices from a street driven vehicle.
