Following, Did you check the fuel bowl heater ? If you blow that fuse or relay it won't start.

At one point I had removed the Entire Fusebox Assy and took it apart to check for bad connections, or Corrosion and verify that the fuel pump relay was working properly, when I did that I checked every fuse and the on board relays and diodes, I located no problems with it at that time.

That is when I concluded that the "Repaired" PCM was the problem, I just don't have the time to focus on the troubleshooting sequence to eliminate the other possibilities with the tools that I have at my disposal.

When do you get the new PCM installed?

Not there yet, I was hunting around for either a good used PCM to get it running or a Reman unit with Exchange from FS1 or AMS online stores.
I had posted a request for interchange info earlier hoping that someone would be able to tell me if I could get any used PCM for a 7.3 Diesel Superduty and have it programmed to match the original unit stock tune.

Can't help ya there... Good luck my friend! In all honesty I would consider going to ford with this one if you had to.... They did make it even if they could have done better.

Maybe call Jody at DP-Tuner or Justin I think it is? They seem to know a lot!

My understanding is swapping PCMs among these few years is no big deal, the truck will run. Swapping between AT vs MT or GPCM vs GPR may leave some things missing of course, but the operation of the engine is fine. The differences are subtle.

I'd recommend comparing the new-to-you PCM to yours on the attached list, but I do not see your KEK4 on there. I suspect it was originally fleet or gov't.

The 02 truck was part of a pest control fleet in a past life.
I had a very enlightening conversation with Jody this at DP tuner this morning regarding PCM swaps, he indicated that a DPC 462 PCM has to be replaced with a DPC 462 PCM to get full functionality due to the internal changes and upgrades of that era he also indicated that my other truck would work for troubleshooting but that the dash would not work properly and the air conditioner would not work due to the internal changes of the later model PCM'S

That makes sense, the instrument cluster evolved in 2002 to become an Electronic Component of Wonders. Ever play with the diagnostic codes found in the mileage display? Not really worth the effort. Didn't think it would impact the AC though, good to know. All that said, the 2000 PCM will get you down the road until you can source a correct one.

Hi Guys, Final Update on the truck, the shop tried the 2000 PCM and the 02 truck ran great, I replaced the Burnt 02 PCM with a "New/Remanufactured" unit from FS 1 out of New York, No Core needed.

I can say this, IF YOU ARE SHORTING/JUMPING OUT THE GP RELAY BE VERY CAREFUL, If you happen to connect the battery + feed to the computer Ground Terminal, you will probably be buying a PCM.
The truck runs great now and with the hot weather around here, starting is no problem, but I just found out that the truck will die when the horn button is pushed, it starts right up afterwards, but I have to sort out something else before I can put this truck to work.
I will start a new thread about the Horn Issue, Thanks for the guidance on this issue, I hope that my adventures will help someone else in the future.
