Fog (Driving) Lamp Installation

Came across new-in-box OEM fog (driving) lamps for 1997-98 Expedition. Looked under my bumper and found two dangling connectors behind bumper knockouts (driver & passenger sides). Anyone know if these connectors are for the fog (driving) lamps? If yes, can lamps be directly connected to these connectors. Also light switch in cabin has positions: OFF/Running Lights Only-On/Running Lights & Headlights-ON. Is another switch setting required for the fog (driving) lamps? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

i belive they will plug wright in, look at your headlight switch again when it is in the headlight on position pull it out towards you this should trigger the relay to put on the fog lights. p.s.where did you come across these lights i have a 98 exp that needs fogs thanks jim

Fog (Driving) Lamp Installation

I got the fog lights w/mounting brackets from a company called www.autobodypartsonlie.com for $66.95 (per light) versus $105.88 at the dealer and there are other suppliers as well (i.e. www.headlights-taillights.com). I compared with actual parts at local Ford dealer parts department and they were identical. I did have to buy a new headlight/fog light switch module and I did get that from the dealer ($109.58+tax) because I was able to have it in hand in less then 24 hours. I followed module remove instructions posted on this website and was able to remove old module and install with new in about 60 seconds and all works fine.
