How can I tell what rear end I have in my 2005 F150 FX4?

what engine do you have? on the 97-03 bodystyle, the 4.2 and 4.6 had the 8.8. and the 5.4 has the 9.75.

Most likely it is going to be the 9.75.

5.4 has 9.75", 4.6 has 8.8" I'm pretty sure.
