Speedometer calibration
I'm looking to install an ERA (Abbot Enterprises) speedometer calibrator on my 01 F350 SC PS, running 315-75/R16's. This is the same basic setup as the Truspeed unit, but uses dip switches vs. adj pots to calibrate speed ratios.
A couple of questions to the forum;
1. Anyone look into/try the ERA unit? What was your impression of it?
2. Basic install; where is the best place to splice into the VSS line? a) Truspeed indicates the best location is at the ABS Control Mod (where is this on the SD?). b) ERA indicates the best location is at the sensor (rear axle).
Thanks in advance,
C.
