My other thread details my injector change-out. Cold weather starting had been very difficult this fall. I was getting an error code for 1 glow plug that eventually showed up as 2. The reality was quite different:
5 Glow Plugs were bad
1 was bad with a 3 ohm reading
2 were good
(for reference all 8 new plugs tested at 0.6 ohms on the bench)
2 brand new harnesses just to make life easier. If I wouldn't have had the valve covers off, every plug would have ripped off. I modified a hose removal tool to push the plug out from the inside of the head. I did all 8 replacements from the top of the engine, I didn't find any problems doing it this way since the valve covers and all related items were out of the way.
